This weekend I articulated a new goal. I recognised my desire to become a monetised YouTube content creator as I enjoy content creation and this would be a great (and very welcome) additional income stream.
But here’s the challenge.
At the time of recording (November 2025) – I’ve had a channel for 5 years or more but have barely touched it… I have 29 subscribers!
Will it be possible to start cracking out some quality content and monetise my channel?
Hi, I’m Gina Visram, a London based careers coach who has been creating audio podcast content (via Dive Into Your Career) and short form content on TikTok (as Your Career And Future) for years although even with those, I’ve never focused on monetisation… just content I am proud of that will help the students and graduates I support.
I’m entering a season as a careers content creator where I will actually have a watch time and subscriber goal – and I am trying to get there alongside my full time job, family, additional responsibilities etc. As such I am going to be creating videos in the standard way you have some to expect from expert led videos AND I’ll experiment with some more random approaches.
