Work with me
We spend money and time on all sorts of things, from our education to our holiday plans to choosing what we're going to eat on a night out. Knowing that a career can span 50+ years means that it's worth purposeful focus too! I work with people and organisations who are prepared to make an effort and an investment (of time certainly and sometimes money, when it comes to career journeys). I can help you find clarity, carefully plan your next steps (while being flexible enough to pivot when needed) towards your career success (whatever success looks like for you)... if you put in the work. You ready?
Are you a:
- Student or graduate
- Parent or carer
- School or university
- Educational charity or other education focused organisation
- Business
If you are committed to improving the early careers journey for yourself or those you support - let’s explore how we can work together to help you achieve your goals (be it for yourself, your child, the student community or your organisation).
Gina is an empathetic, creative, and person-centred leader who engaged with our young people with genuineness and integrity. Gina’s skills are built on a solid foundation of subject expertise and knowledge, skills that are only heightened by her naturally warm, professional, and personable demeanour. I am always impressed by the level of excellence evident in her work and the amount of help and support she offers, which speaks to her authentic desire to help and empower those around her.

As a student / graduate:
As you progress through school and university, there are an increasing amount of decisions that need to be made. In the UK, that may include choosing GCSEs and then A-Levels or T-Levels / BTECs… as well as whether to embark on an apprenticeship (which could include a degree apprenticeship) or university.
Once at university (should you take that route), you are then navigating a sea of spring weeks, internships, placement year possibilities, volunteering opportunities and more - all while juggling those all important studies. And what’s next after university? That can feel like a big and scary question to answer.
My hope is that you have brilliant careers provision in your school and an active, innovative university careers department, however if you want support beyond this (or may be lacking this support) - that’s where our work together could be beneficial.

As a parent:
Where has the time gone? Just the other day your child was in primary school… you blinked and now they are in their teens or early twenties and deeply into their early career journey.
Navigating a sea of choices can be confusing and overwhelming for your child and while you are engaged and can share your experiences and advice - sometimes their eyes glaze over and you recognise an additional voice would be helpful. Beyond this, you are also humble enough to know that the educational and employment landscape has changed so much that there’s a chance your well meaning advice by itself, may cause more harm than good. Isn’t it time to enlist some qualified, independent careers guidance?

As a school or university:
Careers departments are often full of enthusiastic and passionate people who are stretched to capacity in their day to day work. In a school it may be a single careers leader and in a university, a team who is dedicated to supporting varying departments. Wouldn’t it be helpful to tap into an additional resource who can supplement the great work you are already doing?
I would be delighted to support your students and graduates with workshops and training. Topics may include:
- Personal branding and content creation for career success
- Career development when you’re unsure about your direction
- LinkedIn techniques for students and graduates

As an Employer
In this “War for talent” and beyond, would you like to be a workplace of choice for your current employees and future candidates?
Career coaching and training for new talent can be beneficial in numerous ways. Personal and professional development opportunities are not just nice-to-have. Investing in the development of your employees helps them to understand the company’s culture and positions them to make a positive contribution, operating within and beyond the potential you expected when you hired them. Increased productivity, better performance and improved employee retention are all byproducts of investing in your workforce.
Whether it’s your new talent; your talent of black heritage or any other communities within your organisation that you would like to focus on and nurture, I would be very happy to have a conversation with you about what sort of career coaching and training would be beneficial.
