First things first, I would like to assure you that feeling unsure about what comes next in your career does not mean you are having a mid-life crisis! (Well, unless this career reflection is happening alongside some uncharacteristic and unwelcome behaviour in other parts of your life!)
These days, careers are often 50+ years long so even if you have had an established career within Education, Technology, Law, Media, Medicine or any other area and are feeling unsure or unfulfilled, then taking active steps to think about what comes next is the ultimate adulting. There can be many different chapters in our life story. Maybe this is the time for you to make a change. Maybe it isn't. Either way, congratulations on pausing, reflecting and considering getting some help to help you establish what comes next.
Whether you have been successfully working in your industry for decades, climbing the ladder along the way... or you've had a shorter stint and realised your current role isn't for you - it is always a good idea to reflect on how you are currently feeling about your career and what may come next. Life is too short to stay miserable or unhappy in our working lives.
